Many women tend to experience heartburn symptoms when they are still carrying their babies, and this happens for several reasons.

One of these is the increase of hormones in the women’s body while they are pregnant. The occurrence of this will result in softening the ligaments which function is to keep the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) firmly closed. When the LES rests at unsuitable periods, tendency is, this will let the gastric acid and food to reflux back to the esophagus and throat.

One more reason of experiencing heartburn during pregnancy is because the changes in the body and the development of the baby creates more pressure in the women’s stomach. Therefore, the stomach contents are forced right into the LES, and then to the esophagus.

However, there are several methods that a pregnant woman can observe to lessen the discomfort brought by heartburn. The following are good advices, although this may not remove the heartburn totally:

• Avoid the food that triggers heartburn. Examples of this are chocolates, spicy foods, citrus fruits and juices, mustard, tomatoes and tomato based products, fatty foods, fried foods, and highly seasoned dishes. Try to refer to medical specialists to know the complete list of foods to avoid Acid Reflux. Also, for foods that you may take which contains little danger of causing heartburn.

• Get rid of drinks that have caffeine, like tea, coffee, and soda. Too much of these will cause the LES to relax and let the acid to return into the esophagus.

• Stay away from alcohol beverages. This, like caffeine tends to relax the LES thus, creating the same effect—triggering heartburn.

• Avoid eating large meals. It is suggested that taking numerous small meals throughout the day will be better.

• Avoid rush in eating your meals. Chewing food thoroughly will really help in avoidance of heartburn, so better take your time in eating.

• Rest for at least three hours after having your last meal before taking your sleep.

• A pregnant woman is advised to take more glasses of water a day, at least 8 to 10 glasses, though this must be taken not just during meals. Through this, the stomach will expand, and then the LES will be given more pressure, obliging it to open inappropriately. Hence, it is really recommended to drink more water and other fluids in between meals.

• When sleeping elevate the head of the bed for at least six to eight inches. Try to sleep with an elevated head and shoulders through a wedge pillow. Through this, the gravity will work as much that it will keep the acids in your stomach in their place—in the stomach, not in the esophagus. Try to consult physicians to gain additional knowledge on how to relieve nighttime heartburn.

• Don’t wear tight fitting clothes. Tightness around the waist and stomach will trigger heartburn as it causes uneasiness.

• When bending, do it at the knees, not at the waist. This will avoid in creating too much pressure in the stomach.

• Don’t slouch; rather sit erect in a relaxing chair.

• Maintain a sensible amount of weight, too much weight and fatness will give more stress in your stomach. As a result, this will force stomach contents throughout the LES and to the esophagus. Stay with your doctors guidelines.

• Avoid smoking. Doctors stated that smoking could cause several effects to a pregnant woman, much that it can add to the possibility of experiencing heartburn.

Kathy was sitting in her recliner at her home in California with 3-year-old daughter Lindsay cuddled at her side. Both were watching a show featuring an actress who had designed a line of Victorian jewelry. “I would love to design jewelry,” Kathy thought. But immediately, the all-too-familiar lack of self-esteem whispered, “You could never do that,” and she promptly shoved the desire aside.

The desire lay forgotten through several years, the addition of two more children to the family, and two more moves that ended just outside of Houston, Texas. But fifteen years later, Kathy has four children ages 24, 18, 13 and 11, and is the owner of www.TheAngelStop.com, a Christian retail jewelry and home decor company based in Sugar Land, Texas. When Kathy talks about how the company began years ago, she leaves out the business jargon she has recently been forced to learn as a former nurse and stay-at-home mother. Instead, she focuses on the God whom she says has been in the business of healing her life and the lives of others through the company.

“The whole process of this company has been healing. I didn’t intend to have a company, but God had intentions for the company,” Kathy said.

The retail site www.TheAngelStop.com began as a hobby for Kathy in 1996. She said she had a need to create, but after having four children, two of which were still toddlers, there was little time to finish projects. So she was delighted to find that she could design brass and silver-plated angel pins in one sitting. Kathy began to give her pins to family members and friends, and one relative suggested she send the designs to someone involved in the Atlanta Gift Mart. By January of 1998, the angel pin line was in one of the top showrooms in the Atlanta Gift Mart. Today, Kathy’s hobby has grown into The Angel Stop - Christian Gifts: Angel Pins, Framed Pictures found at www.TheAngelStop.com.

Through the business’ growth Kathy says that God was doing a greater work in her life personally. There was a need for healing in her life because of events that stretched back into her childhood, and God began to mend her heart as He began to grow the company.

“I had shame, low self-esteem, the urge to hide or run or both. As Christ began working in my life, I would ask for healing and the forgiveness needed to get rid of the bitterness. But every time He started moving me in that direction, the pain would rear its ugly head and I would retreat back to my prison cell. It was the only secure place I thought I knew.

“God took me to rock bottom in 1997, and through a period of great emotional pain, God gave me Isaiah 61:3. From outward appearances, I had everything, but inside my life was in ashes. Over the next few years God created beauty from those ashes and led me to the place where I could be planted firm in Him, and His glory could be displayed.”

“The company became part of the healing because through the process of growing a company, He pushed me out of my corner where I wanted to stay - the place I was most comfortable in. And to survive, I had to rely on Him. Through the process of Him forcing me out to the world, I found out life was all about Him and that my sufficiency was in Him. I want my life to be about the display of His glory, and my desire is that The Angel Stop be a company that glorifies God and a vessel through which He ministers.”
Today, Kathy’s desire is to inspire women to step out with confidence and boldness into whatever God has set in front of them. She says that she has learned through her own journey of healing that faith doesn’t mean the absence of fear, but the courage to take steps in the midst of fear.

The path Kathy has taken since the desire to design was sparked eleven years ago has been marked with fear at times, but Kathy says it’s been well-worth the struggle.

“A few years ago the Lord reminded me of when I was sitting in San Jose, California with my daughter, and I said I couldn’t design jewelry. But He has shown me that He can achieve anything through me.”

How To Reach The Top Of The Ladder Of Success

---------------------------------------------

First you must get onto the ladder of Success!

I can think of three ways:

1. Become a top sales-person
2. Become a popular writer

3. Pass exams.

I can only help you with the last two methods.

1. The leader of your country... President or prime minister or dictator (?) reached the top of the ladder of success by being a good salesperson. Perhaps she sold herself to voters. Maybe he sold himself to fighting forces who put him in power.

2. If you're at least 16 years old - Have you learned to write gripping essays? Make money from writing.

You don't need salesmanship to make money - more than enough to pay for sales advisors with your essays.

Why do I say 16 years old? Because Nori's success was bringing her good money at that age from her website. Read about it here
http://case-studies.sitesell.com/buildwebprofit.html#NORI

Nori just wrote essays about her holidays, and took photographs. Google is perfect for this idea. You simply write about 30 interesting essays (pages) before submitting them to Google Adsense. Continued success means keep writing new essays.

----------

Popularity

----------

Is your subject popular enough for hundreds of visitors/day? Look on Overture.com to find out what is the top price for each keyword in your subject. Look for a subject with lots of keywords for which advertisers pay $5 or more per click. Each time your Adsense page gets a click, some of that $5 goes to Google and some goes to you.

So you don't need any salesmanship at all to make money from Google. If you have 500 keywords and write two essays per week you'll finish in...

If you follow your initial success you'll think of other approaches over the years. But meanwhile, you'll make money with your essays.

You don't even need to know anything about putting up websites for success. http://find.sitesell.com/buildwebprofit.html will do all the technical stuff for you, while you concentrate on writing. They also show you other ways to make money once you're earning well from Adsense.

3. Does this mean that you don't need exams?

No.

a. Passing exams proves you can learn. Study broadens your mind. Writers and salespeople must see other points of view than their own.

b. Even if you fail your exams, your mind has already been broadened. But why not get the credit for your work if you can?

c. Credit - you may be surprised at the respect you get with a string of letters after your name. You get more respect still from being able to write essays well, but if you have both things going for you...

d. Planning success in employment? You must pass exams.

-------------------

Employers And Exams

-------------------

Why do employers insist on success in exams? They prove you can learn things.

Why do employers require experience? They don't respect what you learned to pass your exams. You learn on the job after passing your exams.

--------------------

Knowledge Not Needed

--------------------

That means that you don't need the knowledge. You need the exam passes. My book about "Exam Mastery" will get you unearned exam success. I've passed several exams without knowing much about the subject.

-----------------------------------------------

Once you're on the employment ladder of success

-----------------------------------------------

Be as cynical about climbing the ladder as I taught you to be in my exam book. Your target was to pass exams, not to gain knowledge. Now your target is to climb the ladder of success, not to give your best work.

1. Read John Molloy's "Dress for Success". Apply it. Life's just as unfair as exams. Your dress shouldn't matter for success, but it does.

2. Study your bosses. Who decides promotions? Interests? Attitudes?

3. Attend all meetings. This takes you from your work, but your target is success. Make your voice heard, using what you learned from my free report about essays. This will

a. give you practice in public speaking and

b. the bosses will notice you. Tailor what you say to your research in step 2.

c. If you get the chance to run a brain-storming session, organise the information on the board as you learned from my book about exams. That impresses bosses.

4. Attend all seminars and study the format. Now use your practice in public speaking to run a seminar. This will really make the bosses sit up and take notice. Make sure to consider step 2 when you're planning your seminar. Use all the tricks in my essays report to make your seminars a success.

When you succeed you will know that you couldn't have reached the top without getting onto the ladder of success.

General Electric's Monogram Collection is a line of appliances that have a high standard of visual appeal and reliability. Being a well-known and popular brand, General Electric (GE) is a safe choice for your appliances. Keeping this in mind, let's take a look at a machine that every kitchen should be equipped with: the cook top.

The GE Monogram cook tops are available in both an electric and gas variety. You can use natural or liquid propane gas to fuel the gas burner. Or if you don't like using gas, you can choose the electric model instead. Either type of cook top will offer the power you need to cook any type of food.

One of the features of a GE Monogram cook top includes the powerful and precise burners. Each burner uses two different flames to give a range of temperatures to choose from. A burner can be set to a low power of 500 BTUs, which allows more control for simmering liquids or warm food. At full power, the power can reach as high as 17000 BTU.

Another unique feature of a GE Monogram cook top is the reversible grates. One side of the grates is a flat surface that is essential for using pots and pans. On the other side lies a contoured grate that is specially modeled for woks.

Adding to the flexibility of the GE Monogram cook top is the indoor grill. Grooved and rounded for versatility, the cook top grill allows you to grill meat to perfection while still indoors. This opens up the door to cooking a number of food items in ways you can't accomplish with a conventional cook top.

The cook top is constructed with premium cast iron material. A long-lasting performance is ensured with high grade metals. The grates are solidly built and are even dishwasher safe. The stainless steel grill won't wear and tear as you use it over and over again. Although it can get a little messy, the payoff in cooking power and home décor is worth it.

Speaking of messes, the GE Monogram cook top makes clean up easier. Two removable drip pans lie at the bottom of the machine. The splash guards located beneath the burners are coated in order to prevent wearing down the stainless steel when being cleaned.

Regarding home décor, the GE Monogram cook top gives your kitchen a unique flavor. With chamfered edges and a sleek smooth metallic finish, the cook top is easy on the eyes. It will add to the appeal of your kitchen and do wonders for your household. You can even customize your cook top by adding a backsplash that prevents spills while looking spiffy.

Cook tops from the specially designed GE Monogram Collection possess the quality and the attractiveness that you're looking for. These appliances are top of the line, which should be expected from the strong GE brand. If you're looking to bring your kitchen into the modern era, you can't go wrong with the Monogram Collection.
